December BAH – Rockcliffe Winery
Denmark Chamber members gathered at a festive Rockcliffe winery for the December Business After Hours to celebrate coming towards the end of what has been an unusual year.
Owner of Rockcliffe Winery Steve Hall unveiled Nautica their new range of wine. Steve has been enjoying welcoming many visitors to the cellar door over the last few months, many of them first timers to Denmark. He spoke highly of his team of staff and is looking forward to continuing with the tradition of Friday night music at Rockcliffe over the summer months.
Brian and Julia Fitzgerald from Artisan Brewing are in their 6th year of brewing in the Great Southern and were keen to thank local business for all the support they have received during this time. Artisan Brewing have been consistently winning awards and bringing recognition to Denmark with their outstanding brews.
Haikam Threadgold and Steve Suttie from Gin Lao have been building their reputation locally for their unique and extremely delicious Laotian influenced food. A passion for food, artful use of flavors and fresh produce come together to create the perfect balance. Their son Tyrone Threadgold was on hand to help last night before he heads to Cottesloe to continue with his Chef apprenticeship.
Both GSDC and RDA Great Southern are organizations that contribute to the social and economic development in the 11 shires of the Great Southern. Many of the projects that we see happening around us involve funding and support from these organizations such as the Plane Tree Precinct, recent film and television projects, student housing in Albany and many more initiatives. Our very own Denmark & Districts Business Directory was helped by a contribution from the Great Southern Development Commission this year.
