The Shire of Denmark is located on the South Coast of Western Australia approximately 400kms south of Perth and 50kms west of Albany.
The Shire covers an area of 1,859.9 sq kms, extending 70 kms in an east-west direction, and 30 kms north-south. The average annual rainfall in the Shire is 1089.6mm annually with an average maximum temperature of 25C in summer and 16C in winter.
The estimated resident population of Denmark (ERP 2023) is 6618. Health care and social assistance is the largest employer, followed by education and training, tourism and food services and agriculture, forestry and fishing .
