October AGM & Business After Hours

The Denmark Country Club once again played host to the Denmark Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting, followed by a well-attended Business After Hours event that brought together local business owners and community members for an evening of networking and celebration.

Members enjoyed some lovely nibbles which were prepared by the Denmark Country Club. The gluten free Arancini balls proved especially popular.

This year’s AGM held particular significance as it marked the first for newly appointed CEO Gillian Corker. Gillian used the occasion to unveil the Chamber’s fresh new logo, created in collaboration with local design studio Icon Illustrations. The rebrand signals a new chapter for the Chamber, with a renewed focus on community engagement and business support.

DCC President Chris Langslow delivered a short but engaging presentation, reflecting on the Chamber’s achievements over the past year and outlining plans for the future. He expressed gratitude to outgoing committee members Gill Atkinson, of the Denmark Good Food Factory, for her longstanding contribution, and Bee Pope, of Bee Organised, who is stepping down after a year due to other commitments.

The Chamber welcomed incoming committee member Anala Linckens from the Thalia Centre, who will bring new energy and perspective to the team.

The evening concluded with a prize draw, with lucky winners including Stephen Junk, Linda Bradbury and Barbara Keeler.

The event highlighted the strength and spirit of Denmark’s business community and set a positive tone for the year ahead.
