The Denmark Chamber of Commerce’s June Business After Hours event drew a vibrant group of members. Held at the newly revamped Denmark Drops, the evening offered attendees a unique opportunity to explore a curated selection of local wines, many of which are not available at cellar doors. The event was hosted by the Denmark Hotel and Artisan Brewing.
Gillian Corker, the Chamber’s newly appointed CEO, took the opportunity to introduce herself to members. With a keen interest in fostering community engagement, Gillian expressed her enthusiasm for meeting local business owners and exploring collaborative opportunities. Her vision centres on creating a supportive network where small businesses can share knowledge, celebrate successes, and collectively navigate challenges.
The evening also marked the introduction of two new Chamber members. Don Anderson, a seasoned professional in solar power and battery solutions, brings a wealth of experience to the table. Partnering with West State Electrics, Don offers innovative energy-efficient options and is well-versed in the federal government’s battery rebate programme, a valuable resource for businesses looking to enhance sustainability.
Katie Ridden, representing Work Less Bookkeeping and BAS Services, was also welcomed into the fold. Katie is eager to assist businesses with their financial paperwork, offering expert services to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
The evening concluded with a raffle, where Steve Suttie won a bottle of wine made by local producers Brave New Wine.
