The Harewood Forest walk trail winds upstream through karri forest with thick understory for about 600 meters, looping back to the car park on Scottsdale Road. Some signs still remain on the original part of the trail which explain the days of the axe from when the Millar family was known to log the forest.
In November of 2021, the walk was increased from 1.2km to 2.8km with new facilitated drainage to help keep the trail dry during wet seasons.
A rewarding walk for birdwatchers and wildflower hunters. The Harewood forest trail is also known for its impressive display of Fungi!Harewood forest walk trail is now dog friendly. With this in mind, please keep your furry friend on a leash at all times.
Terrain/Grade is medium (Grade 3) and is suitable for most ages and fitness levels with about an hour return. The trail can be wet and slippery in winter.
