Mentorship Program History

The inaugural Silverstream Wines International Women’s Day event held on March 7th, 2021 was set up with two clear visions and purposes.  One, to celebrate the incredible caliber of Regional women across the Great Southern and two, to raise funds to be placed towards young women in our region.

The 2021 SIWD event was financially and in-kind supported by the following organisations: Shire of Denmark, Albany Event Hire and Aurora Magazine.

The monies raised from that event will be used towards multiple scholarships that will financially support young woman through the Young Women in Business Mentorship Program.

Goals of the Program

This program looks to offer an opportunity for the young women in Denmark to lean on the collective wisdom of extraordinary female mentors in our community. As well as:

  • To assist in developing skills and achieving the participants career and life goals
  • To build confidence within the participants
  • To link local young women to local women
  • To support, lift and share knowledge between different generations of women
  • To build a strong support network for the young women of our community
