August Business After Hours

The Denmark Chamber of Commerce’s August Business After Hours event was a celebration of local entrepreneurship, bringing together a diverse group of small businesses for an evening of networking, collaboration and community spirit.

Hosted with the support of Albany Business Centre, the event showcased the strength and diversity of the region’s business community while providing an excellent opportunity for local business owners and professionals to connect.

Adding a unique and interactive element to the evening, Albany Business Centre’s Mark Shenton created “business passports” for attendees. Guests were encouraged to visit each of the participating businesses’ display tables, collecting a stamp at every stop. Once completed, the passports earned participants entry into the evening’s prize draw, creating plenty of conversation and encouraging everyone to meet the exhibitors.

Businesses taking part included Artisan Brewing, Dukes Vineyard, South Regional Fencing, F & L Carpet Cleaning, Beachcombing Dogwash and Treasures, Start Right Mechanical, Work Less Bookkeeping and BAS Services, Synergy Graphics and Joyfull Catering. Each business had the opportunity to showcase its products and services while building valuable relationships with fellow members of the local business community.

The evening also welcomed new Denmark Chamber of Commerce member William Peucker from First Story Designs, who was introduced to those in attendance.

The major prize, a generously filled gift bag featuring contributions from the participating businesses, was won by Lil Vadjnal from Skill Hire.
