August Business After Hours

The Denmark Chamber’s monthly Business After Hours for August was a community focussed event hosted by the Shire of Denmark and Andimaps.

Shire CEO David King presented the Denmark Shire budget and revealed the results of the community consultation process that helped shape it with 1700 responses over two years.

Linda Bradbury has been the driving force behind the successful map business since Andi Adams passed last year. In honour of Andi, Linda and her team celebrated Andimaps’ 30-year anniversary.  Over that time the maps have developed a reputation for detail, accuracy and reliability, and have been used by millions of visitors to towns from Broome to Esperance. Linda has overcome many obstacles to keep the business on track and she thanked her team for all the support she has received through what has been a challenging year.

Three new Denmark Chamber members introduced their businesses to the crowd. Tilly Wallace spoke about Beach-Combing Dog Wash and Treasures, Matt Sivyer introduced Understorey Timber Co, and Adrian Baer outlined the Denmark Community Foundation’s activities and ambitions.
